Providing spray painting services to the commercial, trade and domestic markets, Yorkshire Specialist Coatings are a specialist paint applicator based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
They recently worked on a project where they provided bespoke glass panels for a new Wagamama restaurant in the brand new London Designer Outlet, which is situated next to Wembley Stadium and Arena. The Wagamama brand is inspired by traditional Japanese noodle bars and Asian flavours and has grown to over 100 restaurants in 16 countries around the world. The project involved painting a number of large 10mm & 12mm thick toughened glass panels, utilising our specially formulated glass paint, AVKOTE GP. The project proved challenging due to the size of the sheets, as they were up to 10 feet wide and 8 feet high.
Our AVKOTE GP product was chosen because of its high durability and fast drying properties. The paint has a good resistance to chemicals and mechanical abrasion and is known for its very good weathering characteristics. The panels were painted in RAL 9011, Graphite Black, which was chosen from the RAL Classic Range. They were painted this colour to keep in line with the Wagamama brand.
